God is Good!

We are exhausted! We just returned from Virginia and feel like zombies! We had a great time visiting with J.R.'s family. Morgan is doing wonderful with her arm. She has recovered beautifully from her surgery and is gaining more mobility daily!

Morgan's Surgery

As many of you know our oldest daughter Morgan had a very serious bicycle accident in May. She broke her arm and shattered her elbow resulting in an emergency surgery to put in metal plates and screws. She has been working very hard this summer to regain mobility. Unfortunately, she has been unsuccessful. Yesterday, she underwent another surgery to remove some of the hardware in order to hopefully help. Thank God, she is doing very well. She is already moving her arm more and is feeling great! Thanks to all of you who have been praying for her. This is just one more obstacle that we have had to overcome on our quest to get to Jamaica.

Trust

It is one week before school starts and we are running full steam ahead. Our website is up so I hope you will take a look at it. It has been a slow couple of weeks regarding our fundraising, as many churches are unable to sponsor. However, just when we think we can't make it another day, God surprises us once again. I am truly learning what walking by faith is all about. We have several churches booked in the month of August and will be traveling extensively. Please pray for traveling mercies and well as favor. Pray saints, pray, that's the only way we will make it. Until next time.

Remember my favorite verse:
Proverbs 3:5.6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.

July 21, 2008
Thank you faithful prayer partners. God is doing awesome wonders in our life. Since we returned from Missionary Training God has begun to open up so many unexpected doors. We have been to several wonderful churches who are partnering with us to get to The City of Refuge, Jamaica. We have been praying for wisdom and for strength. And God is answering. Not that the walk is easy but God is taking us through day by day. One step of faith at a time. We will be updating our blogs each week and we will also have our calendar posted for those of you who will pray for us. Thought for the week......II Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: For when I am weak, then I AM STRONG!
I never noticed this part about necessities, you know all the stuff you have to do, like laundry, that you hate but is necessary. He even makes us strong in that! He keeps gently reminding me that He has all thing under control. All I have to do is trust HIM!
